How do I tell which model iPad I have?

To check which iPad model you have:

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap General, then About.
3. Look for Model Name, which will show the iPad type and generation.

If you only see a model number beginning with M, tap it once to reveal the model number beginning with A. You can then check that number against Apple’s iPad model list.

The model number is also printed directly on the back of the iPad near the bottom, beneath the word "iPad."

If you would like us to help confirm it, please send us the Model Name or the A-number. There is no need to send the serial number.
