Students will retain more learning and enjoy using the program more if you keep your sessions short and frequent. Of course, students vary in their ability to concentrate and in how much they can learn during each session, so you will need to determine how long to make sessions based on your observations. A few rules of thumb:
- Preferably, end sessions with the student still wanting to do more. This will ensure that students look forward to their next opportunity to play and will keep things fun!
- Avoid sessions that are more than 30-40 minutes long. Although long sessions may be appropriate for some students, keep in mind that the program provides a very intensive learning experience and although it is enjoyable, students work very hard while playing.
